Bill Parcells Loves Quarterbacks

Posted on: March 31, 2008 3:19 am

When Parcells took over the Giants what did he do-drafted Phil Sims
With New England drafted Drew Bledsoe
With the Jets HE GOT VINNY TESTEVERDIE.
With Dallas he Drafted Tony Romo.
And with no doubt he will Draft a Quarterback while in Miami and I beleive it will be Tony Flacco in the second round. What are your thoughts?

Bill Parcells Loves Quarterbacks

QB Chad Henne is who I think he likes the best, Miami has set down talks that last for over two hours with him and no other QB's. But if you ask me I like Brian Brohm, Joe Flacco, Chad Henne, Andre Woodson and Colt Brennan this year the best and any of them can do the job.

I think he likes Beck and will give him an honest try. In the meantime, Josh McCown will push him to start.

But, Parcells will draft his OWN QB. If Brohm drops to the second round, I think we will lock him up. But if not, Henne in the third, if he is gone by then, then Josh Johnson.

Too many people want Flacco and I don't think he is that good. It is like JaMarcus Russell. No one was talking about him all year, then he plays great against Notre Dame and he becomes #1. I think he will be a bust.

I think the same about Flacco. Bust. Matt Ryan will be decent as will Brohm. Then after that it is all luck. Henne could pan out, but who knows.

I agree with OU.

About Parcells and Quarterbacks
One of the first things Bill Parcells does when he takes over a new team is he always gets himself a QB.In Chad Henne I beleive he is the answer because he has his good old friend Jake Long protecting his blind side and that is huge for any QB in th NFL. He plays tough and is already showing leadership in the huddle. My concern is at the WR position, For Miami to be good this year they must pose a threat to throw deep,Derek Hagan must have a break out year this year or the Miami offense will struggle in the passing game.Derek Hagan is a very good WR, He knows how to work the middle and get open when playing in the slot and can get deep on CB'S in a hurry when he is playing wideout. If Sparano can get him more involved in the offense Miami can have a huge turn around this season.
